Debono Group is seeking to engage a HR Manager to join the Human Resources Team. 

The HR Manager will complement the existing HR team which is responsible for supporting the whole Group. In this role, you will be expected to be a role model to employees and an ambassador of the Company Culture, whilst also ensuring that our people have an exceptional employee experience throughout their journey with us. 

This position is being offered on a full-time indefinite basis and reports directly to the Chief People Officer.

This position is being offered on a full-time indefinite basis and reports directly to the Chief People Officer.

The Position

• Partner up with the management team to discuss and plan people development strategies
• Provide coaching to the management team on HR related processes and protocols
• Facilitate discussions re the planning of headcount requirements
• Conduct research on EU funded employee training schemes
• Manage payroll reporting
• Prepare and assist in HR audit requirements
• Ensure that Jobsplus and employee files are kept up to date
• Manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned teams
• Responsible for all onboarding and offboarding administrative tasks and processes
• Attend HR training and/or conferences
• Carry out annual salary benchmarking exercise
• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures
• Maintain HR system to ensure employee data is always available
• Identify and implement HR initiatives in line with the annual HR Strategy
• Coordinate and organize training programmes for the Group
• Actively participate in team meetings and driving initiatives to completion
• Assist the Chief People Officer with ad-hoc projects
• Any additional duties that may be assigned from time to time

The Requirements

• 4+ years` experience working in an HR Management role
• Highly experienced in all aspects of HR and Talent Development
• Sound knowledge of local employment law
• Strategic mindset
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Experienced in developing and managing internal training programmes
• Excellent command in both English and Maltese languages
• Highly organized and able to multitask
• Effective team player
• Proficient in using systems and interpreting data
