The role of Group Facilities Supervisor includes the maintenance of Group-wide equipment in a good operational order.  Additionally he/she will be expected to ensure that Group property is maintained to high standards and that any repairs are dealt with in a timely manner. Group Property to include Zebbug Premises, The Move Hub in Kordin, Tigne Place in Sliema, potential new automotive site in Mriehel and residential apartments in Sliema (Strand and Fort Cambridge.

 

Key Result Areas & Accountabilities

 Ensure that all facilities and equipment in all Debono Group’s immoveable properties are maintained  in good working order and condition.

 Coordinate and assign duties to the Group Maintenance & Housekeeping Personnel, schedule their works and prioirtise as necessary.

 Secure commercial properties by contracting with property security services, coordinating the installation and maintenance of security devices including managing access control, security alarms and CCTV system) establishing and enforcing precautionary policies and procedures, coordinating with security companies and responding to emergencies (even outside office hours)

 Coordinate with the Group Health & Safety Officer on any H&S issues relating to all Group Premises.

 Coordinate with Condominium Administrators appointed by the Group, review  their performance, review Service Level Agreements and attend to maintenance issues at the property.

 Manage the property insurance policies with the Group insurers, review policies and manage any claims lodged.

 Manage the procurement of maintenance work for different properties and of maintenance supplies, including the attainment of quotes as per the Group procurement policy  and maintain inventories of tools, purchase materials and supplies.

 Maintain a log of all maintenance works carried out.

 Work closely with the Financial Controller in the compilation of Group Property maintenance budgets.

 Perform any additional duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Group Chief Operations & Financial Officer

 

Knowledge & Experience

 3 years previous experience in a similar environment with organizational and administrative skills.

 Basic technical abilities relating to construction and mechanical and electrical works.

 Ability to use IT programmes including Microsoft office applications.

 Ability to interact positively with employees, suppliers and clients.
