The Software QA Specialist plays a crucial role in the software development process. They are responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications by meticulously testing them to identify defects, discrepancies, and potential issues. The role involves various testing techniques and strategies to enhance the overall performance and user experience of the software.

Responsibilities

            Test Planning

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Identify and prioritize test requirements based on project goals, user needs, and system specifications.

      Test Execution

• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
• Execute test cases and scripts, record test results, and document defects in a structured and organized manner.
• Verify fixes for reported issues and validate that the software meets the acceptance criteria.

            Test Automation

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
• Automate repetitive and time-consuming test cases to improve efficiency and coverage.

            Regression Testing

• Perform regular regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not introduce new defects or disrupt existing functionality.

            Defect Management

• Report and track defects using bug tracking systems, and communicate issues to development teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and understand defects and facilitate their resolution.
   
• Performance Testing
• Assess the software's performance, scalability, and reliability by conducting load testing and stress testing.
• Analyze and report performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements.

            Usability and User Experience Testing

• Evaluate the software's user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) to ensure it meets user expectations and usability standards.

            Documentation

• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.
• Generate test summary reports for project stakeholders.

            Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that testing aligns with project goals and timelines.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and project meetings.

            Test Environment Management

• Set up and manage test environments that replicate production conditions to conduct accurate testing.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and defect reporting.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with test management tools and version control systems
• Experience in Salesforce and Microsoft Business Central Application Development is a plus
