A Software Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role involves analyzing, documenting, and managing software requirements, as well as collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that software development projects align with business objectives. The Software Business Analyst contributes to the successful delivery of software solutions by understanding business processes, defining requirements, and facilitating effective communication between technical teams and business units.

Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis.
  • Acting as a first line of contact for both employees and suppliers and responding to queries promptly. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate software requirements.
  • Analyze and prioritize requirements to ensure they align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between existing processes and desired outcomes.
  • Create clear and comprehensive documentation of software requirements, including use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models.
  • Maintain and update requirement documents throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes and decisions.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and project development teams to facilitate effective communication and understanding.
  • Liaising with the suppliers to solve any issues and system bugs.
  • Organize and conduct meetings, workshops, and interviews to gather and validate requirements.
  • Dealing and managing third party relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of user training materials and provide support during the user acceptance testing phase.
  • Assist in user training sessions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Information Technology).
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
  • Having an understanding of Microsoft Business Central and Salesforce 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using requirement management and documentation tools.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Familiarity with project management concepts.
  • Understanding of business processes and the ability to align software solutions with business goals.
