The Head of Procurement is responsible for managing and coordinating all procurement, supply chain, and logistics activities across the group of companies. This includes ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services, optimizing supply chain performance, maintaining cost efficiency, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
The role supports business units involved in vehicle sales, storage systems, and real estate development and management, ensuring strategic sourcing, effective supplier management, and efficient logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
•	Develop and implement group-wide procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
•	Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
•	Consolidate purchasing requirements across group companies to maximize volume discounts and reduce procurement costs.
•	Ensure procurement compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
•	Conduct regular market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovations.
•	Collaborate with department heads to forecast procurement needs.
Logistics &amp; Supply Chain
•	Oversee logistics functions including transportation, warehousing, and distribution for all business units.
•	Plan and coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely delivery and inventory optimization.
•	Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance, and shipping processes, especially for vehicles and storage systems.
•	Optimize delivery routes, freight costs, and 3PL relationships.
•	Ensure proper storage and handling of goods, including vehicle parts and property materials.
Inventory Management
•	Implement inventory control systems and maintain optimal stock levels across business units.
•	Monitor and report on inventory performance and variances.
•	Work with warehouse managers to improve space utilization and reduce wastage.
Supplier Management &amp; Compliance
•	Maintain an approved supplier list with proper documentation and performance evaluations.
•	Enforce ethical procurement practices and sustainability initiatives where applicable.
•	Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and trade regulations relevant to vehicles, construction materials, and storage systems.
Reporting &amp; Analytics
•	Prepare regular reports on procurement savings, supplier performance, logistics KPIs, and risk factors.
•	Support budgeting and forecasting efforts related to supply chain activities.

Key Requirements
Education &amp; Qualifications:
•	Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
•	Professional certification (e.g. CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience:
•	5+ years of experience in procurement and logistics, ideally within a multi-sector environment.
•	Experience handling procurement and logistics in automotive, construction/real estate, or industrial equipment industries is highly desirable.
•	Proven negotiation and contract management skills.

Head of Procurement

The Position 
<ul>
<li>Act as the main frontliner and reference point to clients on works and projects embarked upon by the company;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Project and Resource Planning (internal and subcontracted);&nbsp;</li>
<li>Site coordination and communication with client, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project installation phases;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Co-ordinate closely with the Sales, Technical and Logistics departments to ensure the smooth running of projects in the process of being executed;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Communicate periodically on projects status to all stakeholders;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Setting up timings benchmarks and establishing job costing estimates through dedicated tools;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Carry out site visits to ensure timely and proper execution of works;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, man hours, timelines and expenses to ensure compliance and alignment to budgets;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Close off jobs and handing over to the customers;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collate signed documentation, other paperwork, and upload&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensuring H&amp;S obligations are being adhered to and works are carried out in line with the Method statements and Risk Assessments in place;&nbsp;</li>
<li>General administrative tasks (emails, raising and approving PO’s related to the role, etc)&nbsp;</li>
<li>Update procedures when necessary whilst making sure that processes and procedures are being followed&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
The Requirements 
<ul>
<li>A valid clean driving license&nbsp;</li>
<li>Good command of the English language, Maltese is an asset&nbsp;</li>
<li>General knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications especially outlook and excel is required&nbsp;</li>
<li>A certification in Project Management is preferable however training will be provided to the suitable candidate&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Responsible person who is self-motivated and reliable&nbsp;</li>
<li>Clean police conduct&nbsp;</li>
<li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role&nbsp;</li>
<li>The position is offered on a full-time permanent basis.&nbsp;</li>
