Overview

Michael Debono Ltd (MDL) is part of the Debono Group, a multifaceted Group of companies with a keen focus on the mobility sector. The company aims to deliver business growth by tapping into innovation that really impacts the lives of consumers.

The product offering is composed of passenger and commercial vehicles, motorbikes, vehicle parts and accessories and aftersales services. The company also offers consumers a range of consumer finance solutions to fund the acquisition of their vehicles.

The Fleet Operations Executive will be assisting the Senior Operations Manager in the daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the Fleet Department, ensuring all processes run efficiently and effectively.
    • Coordinate with different departments (such as HR, finance, logistics, and sales) to ensure seamless operations.
    • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements where necessary.
  2. Resource Management:
    • Manage and allocate resources (human, financial, and material) effectively to meet operational goals.
    • Ensure optimal utilization of company resources to avoid wastage and maximize productivity.
  3. Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
    • Work with department heads to streamline operations and reduce costs.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency across operations.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
    • Identify potential risks in operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
    • Analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operations.
  6. Project Management:
    • Lead and manage special projects aimed at improving operational efficiency or implementing new processes.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  7. Customer Service:
    • Ensure a high standard of service delivery to customers and clients.
    • Address and resolve any operational issues that may affect customer satisfaction.
  8. Carry out other duties as assigned by one’s superior

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management, with a track record of improving processes and efficiency.
  • Fluent in both Maltese and English.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using operations management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
