We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Team Leader – Credit Control. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Credit Control function, ensuring effective debt recovery processes, team guidance, and compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with lawyers and clients involved in legal proceedings related to outstanding debts.
- Support and assist the Credit Control team with daily client-chasing activities and resolve operational queries.
- Train, mentor, and guide Credit Controllers to ensure best practices and high performance standards are maintained.
- Monitor team activities to ensure all company procedures and credit control policies are adhered to.
- Assess and review bad debts, providing recommendations and updates where necessary.
- Prepare, analyse, and present reports and overviews of Credit Controllers’ performance and debt recovery activities to the Credit Control Manager.
- Assist in improving processes and maintaining efficient communication across departments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Credit Control, preferably in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of debt collection procedures and legal recovery processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage, motivate, and support a team effectively.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of working under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
